Until Death Do Us Part
I am not sure how the 100 plus years feel
because I have only been alive for 17 of them.
However judging from my despair
I can only imagine the agony and suffering my elders have gone through.
Sometimes I wonder maybe I enjoy losing.
The diseaster, disappointment, devastion maybe it just all appeals to me.
or maybe it’s the atmosphere or buzz that surrounds the Friendly Confines.
They won’t win this year, probably not next, and possibly not even the year after that.
That doesn’t matter though, because I’m lying if I told you
I didn’t think this year was our year.
The loveable losers are what were often referred to.
The finally, fortunate, for once winners sounds better to me.
I hate losing but I love my team so I won’t stop.
For ever I’ll support the Cubbie bear.
No matter what I will continue to believe.
I won’t give up, I won’t ever give up.
