Anxious
Tension.
Tugging,
Heavy and burdening,
Sending my mind into a blurry frenzy.
Fear.
Choking,
Anxious and relentless,
Causing my heart to quicken its pace.
Sickening obsession.
Never-ending in my worried mind,
Exhausting my physical form,
Often making me wish to relax a while.
Stressful days.
Short nights and quick mornings,
Days crawl and race by,
Friends provide comfort
Which is too easily forgotten
When I realize once again
The worries that torment my soul.
Silly little nothings.
My mind tricks itself into believing,
Stupid things become frightening
In a broken mind such as this.
I wish to return to a calmer way of life,
To break through the chains that tear me every which-way,
And yet cannot do away with me so easily
For my will is far too strong for that.
Quite a bother you have been.
Rowdy anxiety,
Be gone, if you please.
