I Awake as A Child

I awake much as a child does
Crying and screaming
With a cold start
I awake unaware
Of how to begin
Calling for someone's guidance
I awake afraid
Startled and alone
Chills down my spine.
I awake as a child
But I am grown
But when I wake
I do not feel old
