The Unspoken

The wife killed her husband,
she states that she was trapped.
While the sun was pounding on his bare back,
she took his life, and never thinking to look in the past.
The wounds that she has received
Distorted and altered her life.
She will not stand up for herself,
easily demoralized by light.
She has thrown herself into the shadows,
not one stair to climb out.
She is stuck in the midst of sin.
Who is trapped now?
