“Out with the old
In with the new,”
but sometimes I
wish things would never
change.
Take me back to the
warm summer nights
when the world was still and
beauty was all around.
I want to go back to the
Memories and never let go of what
I abandoned.
I wish time was frozen
on that moment in time
of laughs and cheers,
strong people fitting in
seamlessly all around.
Back to the
Monsters under the bed
imaginary friends that never left.
Take me back to the old times now gone,
let me cherish the moments just a while longer.

This poem is about looking back on childhood and wishing for things that may never come back.
