The ash drops to her lap and smears to gray
She's already had enough of this day.
The car lurks forward before the light turns green
that 18 wheeler couldn't have ever been seen
and before she knows it she's on her back
nothing else matters, it all fades to black.
That cigarette still lay between her precious fingers
that smoke, and her soul are all that still lingers.
