"The unexamined life is not worth living" (Socrates)

Your precious, beautiful, cradle of life that is sinful

You give, love, breath and light.

We take, take, take it all.
We rarely think, not of you but of our own

You are life; you birth, anchor and hold

We take, take, and take it all

You are air, water, fire and earth

Your melodic symphonies of sight, sound are beauty

Your magnetic core is heating
The trees, majestic waters, the bright, clear blue is fleeting

The air, the water, the earth is polluting, depleting

Terra your ending, dying, dispersing

We are taking, making, breaking, shattering, destroying
Your heart, your core, your soul

We are leaving, cleaving, cutting you whole

NOT ANYMORE

TERRA

NOT ANYMORE

I will plant a tree
Recycle, Reuse,Refuse temptation to over use

I will turn OFF the LIGHTS
Look at BUTTERFLIES

Take a 7 MINUTE shower
Stay CLEAN, Plant a FLOWER

Turn OFF the tap, the LIGHTS
Will eat APPLES, PEAS, and CARROTS

I will WALK, RUN, and Ride the BICYCLE
Help CLEAN the PARK

Exercise chase FIREFLIES
Make a CHANGE

BE a CHANGE
HOPE for a better World

SHINE a LIGHT over this PANDEMIC quandary.

MY APOLOGIES TERRA
For we are humans with little humanity
We are still finding ourselves in this world of uncertainty

Not yet certain of our role in life

MY APOLOGIES TERRA

For the faults of your children

We are still learning, striving

Hopefully we will grow

Be BETTER,CLEAN,CLEAR

Before it Too LATE

The author's comments:
Mother earth (TERRA) inspired me. I woke up and observed the world we are living in, how we are treating it. As humans we are so obsessed and consumed by our own problems that we rarely take the time to observe others. A majority of us are selfish that a Tragedy must occur for us to think of others. We mistreat everything, people, animals, earth and life and i was sick of it. so that is how this poem was created.
