“Live every day like it’s your last”
I hear them say it
Time after time
And I think to myself
If it’s our last day
Wouldn’t we be dying?
Cold and weak.
With no will to say our last words?
Accomplish our last goals?
I say,
“Live every day like it’s your first”
Go out into the world
With no worries
No doubts
No fears
And remember
Those fools who said
“Live every day like it’s your last”
