A rock with no light of its own.
Yet somehow,
it is the boldest thing in the black, lifeless sky
upon the sun’s retreat.
Powerless,
it is in the right place at the right time.
The light is
soothing,
comforting,
Proving a perfect antagonist to the
blazing,
roaring sun.
The object itself is not the source of power.
It is synonymous with reflection.
Without this,
it would be cast into infinite darkness.
The moon’s greatest action,
is no action
The sun emitting and the yang
Suppressing.
Without reflection there is only a single perspective.
