Warm breezy day,
Waiting outside,
Heard shrill calls,
Saw two hawks fighting,
Looping, spinning, diving,
Then a crow joins,
A hawk and a crow team up on one hawk,
Chasing, cawing, shrill cries,
Disappear around a tree,
To close to the ground,
Cries stopped,
Sure the lone hawk had died,
Flew back around,
Ahead of the game,
Two more crows join,
Doesn’t matter,
Because on that day,
That lone hawk got away.
