Sapphire and emeralds
Glitter in the sunlight
She cannot stop shaking her hands
Her eyes are empty
She looks on
Beyond the boundaries of this world
I wish
And I dream
Of the day she'll return to me
I hold
A ceramic hand mold
Filled with a tiny fist
Broken in half
It rests in palms
Filled with the tears of childhood
Love
Passion
Forgotten on the wind
Ice breaks
Spring melts into summer
Once again
But I sit on the corner
Of Columbia and Anthony
Just waiting for her to come home
