Sitting silently pondering
Curiously cautiously wondering
Waiting wearily gazing
about the new world.
Flat screens, touch screens, and gizmos
Where did letters and poetry go?
Slowly fading away.
Creatively compiling words
Freely forming pictures
Wishfully writing dreams
On a planefully simple paper.
iPod iPad iTouch
I hope I feel I write
Shiny screens surrounding
Typing, texting, little talking
Continually creatively expressing
with a pencil in my hand.
