Just a Dream

The signs were clear.
Time was running out,
The sky was opening,
My mind was swarming,
The ground was breaking,
People were falling,
Water was running,
Forests were burning,
People were drowning,
Angels were coming,
My heart was pounding,
The anticipation was killing,
I thought I was winning,
I began falling,
The angels were laughing,
My heart was sinking,
I hit the ground
And then I woke up.
I looked at the clock,
It said ten seconds to midnight:
Ten,
Nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One,
2012
And nothing
