Sitting on this ship
Explosions all around
The Japs are attacking!
The Japs are attacking!
My feet are soaked with a rising pool of water
Hope is scarce
People panic
All trying to get out
But not I
To God I pray keep my family safe
Our country as well
I gasp for air
but none is found
The ship has sunk
Along with many souls
My body grows cold and pale white
I'm ready for you God
I see the light
