The death of a friend
We said forever
That no one could tear us apart
We had a bond that no one came close to knowing about
I got that text last night
It broke me into a million pieces
I tried to make sense of what just happened
All this over another person
Someone that came to me in their time of need
I sat there and watched as everything I worked for fall apart
My eyes started to water, I couldn’t see clear anymore
My mind went blank and I shut down
Watching you drift away was so painful
Everyone telling me you will come back
I’ve gotten my hopes up so high before but never again
I will just go with this flow
This is to the death of my close friend
