It's no use trying to please everybody in this world because there are always gonna be someone who disapproves. So the least you can do is to do what our heart says & enjoy to the fullest!!!

As I strolled down the moonbeam boulevard,
Round and round, again and again;
I wondered, “Was it always like this?
Groping for a refuge, a support?”
As I passed by the million smiling faces,
And outstretched hands ready to help;
I pondered, “Was I always like this?
Squinting for mazes behind people’s graces?”

Where did the innocence go?
The sparkling white I was born as…?
The perfect dreamland I had made up…?
The trust I had on all and sundry,
The love I was surrounded with?
Suddenly feels so fake…
Was it all a show?--A show to ease the pain
Before reality rampaged down my life
Like torrents of rain?

Riding on my white horse,
I had trotted along in a dreamlike trance
Veiled by a mist of bliss and glee…
Wish I had gone on like that…!
Flowing with the wind of luck and chance;
But I reached out far too much…
I became another Eve
Groping for what lay behind my mist…
And suddenly reality took on the reins!

Riding on a black horse,
I galloped ahead, driven with curiosity;
Try as much as I could, I couldn’t halt
As black turned everything…
Black…all I could see was black
Black…in people’s friendliness
Black…in their smiles
Black…in every relationship
Black…in what I saw in the mirror…

Black….in me!!!

Where did the innocence go?
The sparkling white I was born as…?
The perfect dreamland I had made up…?

Well, one day as I was doing what I liked best....pondering, I did a retrospect on my life and realised how we have changed from the innocent little angels to these matured worldly wise individuals. I felt really sad and this poem is the outpouring of what I felt that day.
