I’m inspired by the twisted lollipop’s vibrant colors,
Because it makes me want to show people MY true colors.
I’m inspired by the Harvard sign on the subway,
It reminds me to try to be the best I can be.
You know the woman on the boat, effortlessly juggling 3 kids,I’m inspired by her too, because I know I’ll be a good mother someday.
I’m inspired by my friends,
Who can find the good side of every situation.
I’m inspired by the late-night students and workers,
Who make me want to push myself farther and farther to achieve my goals.
The little bird struggling to fly inspires me to find my own wings and
Makes me want to try new things I haven’t before.
The sharp tip of a pencil inspires me to make my thoughts known,
While the journal inspires me to be a good listener.
I’m inspired by the golden retriever staying at his master’s side,
It makes me want to be loyal and kind to everyone I meet.
The blue sewing machine makes me want to create my own
Dreams and be my own person.
The old man whittling the wood inspires me to make my own path and
Decide my own future.
The book inspires me to live in my imagination, while keeping in touch with reality,
And the binding inspires me to try to keep my life together, when it’s falling apart.
I’m inspired by the leaky faucet, that’s not afraid to cry
I’m inspired by the envelopes, who know how to hide a secret
I’m inspired by authors, who can write or say whatever they want
Without fearing the reaction of others,
But I’m inspired by Inspiration, that will give you the energy to fight,
When all you want to do is surrender.
