Daddy
Dad
When I was five I used to call him daddy,
Always following him around.
He is my superhero.
My idol.
And everything that makes me happy!
I thought he would never leave,
And if so I would go with.
So I sit in his lap Christmas night
Waiting for our presents.
Seeing dad go would be hard to believe.
We were having so much fun,
Joking and eating pears together.
But his smile soon faded away.
He got up, heading for the store
So I did not think we were done.
But then he did not come back,
Dad was heading across the U.S.
Will I be able to follow?
No?
Then I will start to pack.
