A silver spoon in a china glass
Glistens in the early morning light
It whispers odes of sympathy
To the man who lost his sight

Milk and honey with my tea
I wonder who this man could be
I dance a dance of forgotten lore
And dream of those who love me more

A girl with pearls around her neck
Always speaks with flow and rhyme
She dances in the warm sunlight
And sleeps through reason and time

Milk and honey with my tea
I wonder how these things could be
I sing a song of unrequited love
And dream of those forgotten of
