Equality?

In a society where the weak and disabled
are cast away,
shunned,
disregarded:

We must make decisions.

Keep
the valuable ones

Locked up, under
care.

No real boundaries keep them tied,
no borders, no locks, no fences

For the co-operative ones,
The ignorant ones.

Only fear keeps them in line.
Fear of the unknown,
Of the "beasts" they have been taught about
since childhood.

Any threat to society itself,
To corruption
Is sent away

Taken.

Gone.

Dead?
Perhaps.

We know-
US, the
government.

We always know.

Society is expected to morn, but move on.

That is how it is,
How it will always be.

I am part of the government,
Part of life.

I help create the future,
Help write the future;
indirectly,
Yet I do.

Society is ignorant.

But the intellectually smart,
the artists,
pose a threat.

They know.
And they are prepared,
ready,
armed.
Not with weapons, but
truth.

Their
awakening;
connections;
realization;

are potentially damaging.

And when the people know-
About their loved ones,
taken by "beasts",
or "illness",

They will
fight.

Maybe even prevail.

But until then, until the
awareness:

Ignorance Is bliss.
