The Good Kind Of High

Is it such a bad thing that my life revolved around him/
And now that he’s gone,
I’ve crashed and burned.
I have a broken heart on my sleeve.
And no where to turn.
I need the comfort of a stranger’s arms.
Someone who will be there until I tell him to leave.
Go out on a back road to one of those old abandoned farms.
Make love under the sheets of night.
But it’s not the love that would make me put up a fight.
It’s the love of a desperate girl clinging to what’s left of her life.
Kiss me now so I don’t begin to cry.
This isn’t the good kind of high.
