His Poem
I’m sitting here missing you.
What else can I do?
You don’t want to be with me.
That’s easy enough for me to see.
It’s times like this that make me cry.
I wish I had never told you goodbye.
I should have seen it when you were mine.
That you were one amazing guy.
I wish I could have another chance.
Do you remember our first dance?
All I wanted to do was cry,
But, somehow, you found a way to make me smile.
Your strength, your shine.
You were all mine,
But I threw it all away
To have Brandon for a few days.
This is one of the biggest mistakes of my life.
I remember our plans of you being my hubby and I, your wife,
Us watching our kids play,
And being happy together every day.
Again I must say
That I threw it all away,
But, if I could have a fresh start,
I would not let what we could have fall apart.
