Josh's Poem
I hold my breath and try not to cry.
I look up and wonder “Why?”
It’s never been this hard to say goodbye.
I close my eyes and hold back the tears.
You’d only lived for seventeen short years.
Little did we know, death was near.
We don’t know what was going through your head,
But for some reason you wanted to be dead.
And all I can think about is what she said.
I sit here alone and wonder about what happened to my best friend.
Were you in pain in the end?
If only I could hug you again.
I don’t know where you’ll be on Judgment Day,
But there is one thing I just have to say:
“I’ll think of you and miss you each and every day.”
