For The Glory

The solid straight faced soldier
stands before thousands
tears roll down his face,
as his National Anthem is played.
As the American Flag is blowing,
he looks out to the ones he loves.
He tastes the fear of leaving
the fear of war,
and FREEDOM!
He will never forget his home.
He doesn’t know what to expect,
straight out of training now leaving for
WAR..
To a place where he knows
there might not be a chance
to return home.
