Magazine, website & books written by teens since 1989

I want to jump out of the sky. This work has been published in the Teen Ink monthly print magazine.

I want to feel the rush of air, burning my cheeks.

Let me jump,
without a parachute.

And let me pray
That my hopes and dreams will form a buffer
between the heavens and the earth.

Let it stop me from going too high
or too low.

Let me be suspended there.
Stuck in the air,
as a fossil is suspended in the many layers of earth.

I am stuck there, a trilobite,
long before mesozoic era.

… and then I drop.

Spiraling downward in circumvoluted excitement.

Everything fades to black
As the credits roll past,
you get up and tiptoe out of the cinema
avoiding the spilt popcorn and Reese's pieces.

Filmophiliac.

Beautiful. A daydream on paper, huh? Is for me, at least.

Yeah, pretty much. I was sitting there writing about falling then I wondered why I was falling. I then decided it was just a series of clips running through my mind.
