Hot July
Dragging its feet,
July lazes.
It boils the air,
So hot, it’s almost unbearable,
Ruining the summer fun.
With eyes of flame,
It stares down the world,
Igniting everything.
July is like Prometheus has come with his gift,
But too much of it,
For anyone to bear.
What a relief, finally,
When July exits the stage.
Only to come back next year,
In an endless cycle.
