Silence,
Nothingness for miles around.
Darkness,
Preventing every sound.

The world stopped spinning,
and all the wars weren't worth winning.
As everything comes crashing down,
I wander aimlessly about this town.

My wish,
That everyone would just go away,
It's come true on this empty day,
and now there is nothing left to say.
The silence is here to stay.

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this piece! It is definitely one of my favorite poems, by anyone!
