I saw a willow tree today
Bending in the middle
Like a sad old woman
Her hair
Hanging down in sad old vines.

I gazed at it
Whipping out my sketchbook
But I put it back
Some things simply can't be drawn

I saw a few teenagers
They ignored me and walked by
I don't exist
Not in their world

The world of bright eyes
And star-crossed lovers
No
Not me
