I wish I could sleep
Insomnia dancing
On the brim of my lids
As I wait
Frustrated a little
Emotion won't show
All I ask
Is for you to be
So selflessly awakened
I'll stop feeding you
And find inspiration
On another pair of lips
Smooth at talking
And sweet to the taste

After I had gotten out of a serious relationship, I was torn and wanting him to realize I was my own person. I wanted him to feel the hurt he caused me.
