"With God all things are possible" Matthew 19:26

I can see you clearly
In my mind
That face that I love to see
The one that makes me smile all the time

Man, it feels like it was yesterday
When we were last together
But it was much longer ago than that
Even though I wish it wasn’t

The last time we had said good-bye
It was a hasty affair
No hugs, just a quick good-bye
And then you were out the door

Oh, I wish I had seen you again
Maybe if I had
None of this would have happened
But that’s something we’ll never know

All of this is so sad
I’m still in shock
I keep telling myself it can’t be true
There’s no way it could be you

Everytime I was with you
You were always smiling
And laughing with all of us
It can’t be true

I’ll always remember us
Acting and playing cards together
And talking about nonsense stuff
That always made my day

We may never know why
And I’m not sure I want to know
You always seemed like a good guy
I would have done anything for you
It just doesn’t make sense

I know you’re probably having a hard time
But I want to see you again
I wanna talk to you
And see you smile again

It’s gonna take some time to heal
And I know that
You memory will forever be with me
‘Cause I don’t know if I’ll ever forget you
Or that smile my friend
Hopefully I’ll see you and that smile again
Someday

Thank you.  It was hard to write.  But I'm glad it came out the way it did.  Thank you again.

I don't need a rose. I want a daisy you picked for my hair. I don't want some fancy box of chocolate. I want a pink frosting cookie you made just for me. Lets skip the upscale restaraunt and have a picnic in the park.

i like it. You poured a lot of emotion into a short space, and the results are very powerful. I like the little bit of hope written in at the end...closes the piece out well
