Some days I just want to run away from this place
You tell me to be my own person but that doesn’t mean you should tell who to be
You say to make own decisions yet that doesn’t mean you should make them for me
You say to be careful that doesn’t mean to you should prevent me from every single thing
You say live you life that doesn’t mean you should live it for me
You say I have to do things on my own yet you never let me
You say dream big yet you dream for me
Yet if you give me the chance to be free I could change those you’s to I’s
I can be my own person
I can make my own decisions
I can be careful
I can enjoy my life
I can dream big
I can do things by myself
Some days I just want to get away and just say I can be myself!
