The slender curve of your smile
The height of your unique love
Encasing me with branch like arms
But I turn and run, as I always do
For fear that it is too good to be true
The gentle whisper of your pleading
The silent sound of your dreams
The world closing in on me
You ask me if I’m listening
Yes I’m listening dear,
Just not to you
