A number

A feeling
emptiness
A scream
so shrill
Any sane person would of crippled
Darkness surrounded me
Encouraging the fear
That crept up my bones
13 people
13 stories
13 smiles
gone
I'm left all alone
Wondering who's fate I could have changed
Paralyzed in fear
I hear the sirens ring
I see the blue and red lights swirl
But I cannot feel anything
I run
And run
And run
Until I can remember no more
