Ready for the Grieving
While the light serves as a beacon of hope
It is the source of my lamentation.
Nothing but a word with a meaningless connotation,
Full of warmth that I no longer need,
Showing the things I no longer desire to see.
While the light is the symbol of life
darkness is the proof of living.
the shadows we see cause the blood to run rapid,
forcing air into lungs and eyes to go insipid.
a symbol for fear, death, the cause of grieving.
the cause of this escape,
the reason for deceit,
the last pulse in my veins,
a reminder that darkness is what breaths life into me.
while light is clear and never misleading
darkness is what makes my path clear.
the adrenaline rush, fear dominating,
light creeping from my thoughts.
silently watching, waiting, ready for the grieving.
the cause of this escape,
the reason for deceit,
the last pulse in my veins,
a reminder that darkness is what breaths life into me.
and everyday it starts again,
watching, waiting, ready for the grieving.
