I am not a bird;
A sparrow
A crow.
I will not fly away
When you scare me.
I will not remain small
And slight.
Hollow boned
I have a voice, you know.
I can talk, you know.
I don’t chirp-
I can yell.
Make my point
I do not float and flit.
I stand strong.
Do you see my face?
Do you feel my breath?
I don’t want to be a bird.
