Be who you are and speak your opinions,
because the people who matter, dont mind
and
the people who mind, dont matter.

I look at the world
with a hopeless sensation.
I'm unique with my own personality,
but lets broaden the view of this state of insanity,
I am one of billions in the governments opinion.
A single rain drop in the heaviest storm,
not bigger or smaller, not worthy of rescue.
so I fall and I fall,
defenseless as the others.
why wasn't I taught ? why didn't they tell me?
"rely on yourself"
forget the words " Give Me"
accept the idea, your all alone.
even though
this may not be true for you,
now or ever.
Its a skill to insure your own salvation.
your parents know it and probably seen it.
but how, could they expose you to this satanic thought?
don't act ignorant,
you've seen what I mean.
the homeless man that takes your change.
the crack head mom that works in a bed.
stuck in a life without many options,
all as an outcome of a common thought
"THAT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN TO ME."

The author's comments:
The pain and suffering I see daily is what inspired this poem. Coming to the conclusion that I can't help everyone hit me pretty hard. especially the people I care for, the truth I found was that no body could be helped when they don't want help. My poems are only meant to provide new thoughts for the reader to ponder.
