One and the Same

Months pass, love growing deeper
Heart holding on with every day
Loving you came easy
Falling came too fast
Scared to lose you to another
Wait, wait, waiting to see if we last
Days pass by with worry
Agonizing pain
You broke your promises
Now you try to play games
Crying on the daily
Hurting even more
Dying, literally, because you did this
And yet I love you as I did before
Time passing, tick, tick, ticking away
Trying to live my life day by day
Hard to let go
Not wanting to move on
But time heals all pain
And for now, I'm one and the same
