My Ruse
They lie in the squiggles of my brain
Taunting and teasing me most of the day
“pick me” “no me” they say
Twisting and turning me most of the day
They hide in the shadows of my thoughts
Twirling and whirling me ‘til I see spots
“Im your gal” “Im your pal” they refuse to stop
Smashing and bashing me ‘til I see spots
How do I choose
Either way I lose
Beginning to bruise
when trying to fuse
after seeing the views
Of my own ruse
