This Land

When I opened my eyes,
I knew something was wrong,
repeating in my head,
was a disastrous song,
days have passed by,
since light has entered this room,
I have created this myself,
unleashed this impending doom,
I try to forget that I'm alone,
staring at the cold black walls,
I create images within my mind,
and then watch as all of it falls,
I face the sentence that I created,
yet I still do not understand,
how I can sit calmly and watch,
as the darkness devours this land.
