Because I knew she’d be waiting for me when I got home
I never bothered to say goodbye
Because I knew I knew I’d have time to say it again
I didn’t tell her I loved her
Because I knew we would kiss and make up later
I told her that I hated her
Because I knew she was emotionally strong
I told her to go and die
Because she looked up to me
She listened.
