I wear my mask
All the time
Because no one
Can know the truth
I wear my mask
To blend in
Because I am
A genetic outcast
I wear my mask
To avoid being different
Because different
Is not accepted
I wear my mask
To change my reflection
Because I don’t like
What I see
I wear my mask
And I don’t think
I can ever take it off
The only one I am fooling
Is myself.
