What Was I Thinking?

I'm infuriated with myself -
I knew I would get hurt.
But yet, I took a shot.
And this outcome was forseen.
(I really do need help.)
I knew before I met you
that you were in love with my friend.
This just proves how dumb I am -
I guess I wanted to break my heart,
to prove the obvious wasn't true.
What was I thinking?
You're too nice to like me.
Maybe this was how it's meant to be -
you after her, me all alone.
Well, I guess it was a dream.
