Snow Angels
Sweet angels fall from the sky with broken halos,
Their bodies cover the ground,
The cold wind blows them away and freezes them over,
Little ghosts of Heaven lie without a sound.
Mr. Sun’s rays beat them mercilessly day after day,
Until only crystal blood remains,
The clouds come back and deliver another shipment,
Of more bodies bound in white chains.
They fall freezing through the sky,
No one will ever know,
Rejected children of God in the clouds,
Become the Earth’s snow.
