Born By God, Raised By The Devil

Your plastic hands and smooth face
Is the one thing that kept me inside of this horrible place.
Lines carved into your scalp in the design of hair,
Your comfort was welcome anywhere.
Nightmares to flowery fields,
I dare never to walk on my heals.
On tippie toes and you in hand,
We go to my imagination play land.
In the cold world government and war approach Americas steps,
But in child’s mind play time is the best.
Your blue eyes with a sparkle,
And a smile always on your face was remarkable.
Tea time with our pink dresses and hats,
For our child hood my baby doll,
I will always remember that.
Through my parents yelling or fighting,
Or even me crying or smiling.
You were always there,
And I thank you for all of your care.

This is about a doll I have had since I was born. I named her Baby, and she had always been there when I needed someone.
