Pararescue
I want to serve
to save someone’s life
to be a lifeline
of those in the fight
I want to leave home
travel miles away
to do the job
they do everyday
Their job isn’t evil
it isn’t inhumane
it’s just the opposite
it’s to save lives in pain
Combat or not
their job is to save life
Chile to Takur Ghar
they get no rest at night
To wear that maroon beret
you are truly the best
there’s no room for error
the job grinds you to the test
You fast rope into combat
to medevac the injured
and to natural disasters
where help can’t be assured
These men are Pararescue
they do this every day
they risk their lives for others
so they don’t have to pay
