Down the Well

I fell down a well
one fine April day
And when I awoke
I looked where I lay

the water was clear
And had no sign of ice
the weather was warm
And the locals were nice

I climbed hidden mountains
Saw great trees as big as are tall
Got lost on a walk
In a strange foreign hall

Found buried treasure
And was showered in gold
Found a red car
And marked it with sold

Took a crazy road trip
with the wind in my hair
drove to some place and just breathed in the air

Met some new friends
That needed my help
Of course I assisted
And find my way to the Alps

Wandered the streets
And the cities and towns
And tracked down the person so keen not to be found

But Of course I found them
and next thing I knew
they told me about another
in the deep south of Peru

But I declined of course
Because my vacation would pass
And I’d back to my life
not all good things can last
And when I go back
I’ll have stories to tell
Of that one time
That one time, I fell down a well
