perchance I should approach him

daintily, at first, and, timid, say hello

shamrocks in our hearts, we’ll speak

for a time of jolly things

shall we dance, he’ll ask

and with viscaria, us two will take to the floor

he loves me, he loves me not
should I go or should I not?

perchance he will approach me

with lilies I shall pose before him

majoram in our hearts, we’ll eat

he’ll touch the wine glass to my lips

shall we dance, he’ll ask

and with viscaria, us two will take to the floor

he loves me, he loves me not
should I go or should I not?

perchance he will notice me

here behind the secrecies

but dill weeds are in his heart

the dahlias have caught him first

shall we dance, he asks her

and with viscaria, the two take to the floor

he loves me, he loves me not;
I could have gone but I did not.

I love this Poem it is now a favorite! The imagery paints vivid images in your mind and I could empathize with all of the feelings presented 5/5stars great job! Keep writing because this was amazing! The language used was perfect and the repetition gave it that playful yet mature feel grate job. I would love if you could check out some of my prices and I would love to see what you have to say. Thank keep it up!

this poem is great! :) I love repetitive poems like this-------but i dont get to read them often! You did a wonderful job! i loved the fancy words, they make this piece sound special. Like viscaria, and dahlias, and shamrocks, and majoram. At first, i took it as a fairytale, but in the end you could see the girl is a wallflower :)
