I can hear those shots
Those that ring out
I’m so confused
What’s this all about?
I run with my classmates
As fast as I can
Though I see students fall
I still ran
It’s deafening
All of those screams
I duck close to the ground
Above, a bullet streams
I turn back
I see who they are
Those who hold the guns
They seem so far
We’re nearing the exit
Bullets rain
I collapse to the ground
My body’s in pain
My own blood is around me
I want to cry
But what’s the use?
I know I’m going to die
But my eyes flood with tears
I am all alone
Students run by
I’m all on my own
In the distance
The sound fades away
My eyes slowly close
This is my last day
My breathing slows
I’m getting really scared
Why me?
I’m so unprepared
I silently pray
I’m trying to be brave
Heaven is where I’m going
Put something good on my grave
I wish I was with you
As I slowly die
All I want to say is
I love you and good-bye

I have not been in a school shooting, but I'm strongly against bullying. It's one of those things that I'm just passionate about and I thought by writing some stories and seeing some of the effects of it, it might make people realize how big of a deal it is

This is great! I just have a question though. Have you ever been in such a shooting? it seemed your work ( the ones that I read) had a lot to do with school shootings. Just curious. Great piece though!
