Those angles they flicker
A candle snuffed out in the dark.
A new creation
Those branches
They ache for the sky
They stack up on top of each other
A line of bark beetles
And driftwood
I scaled it once
When my knees were knobby
My bangs choppy
I was caught in between
My arms wrapped around
And I sat there for hours
Until the streetlamps swallowed me up
A candle snuffed out in the dark.
A new creation
Those branches
They ache for the sky
They stack up on top of each other
A line of bark beetles
And driftwood
I scaled it once
When my knees were knobby
My bangs choppy
I was caught in between
My arms wrapped around
And I sat there for hours
Until the streetlamps swallowed me up
