In the end it doesn't matter.

Her hands on her face,
eyes drilled at space,
what’s on her mind today?

She’s so pretty
and looks the same
I miss her so much
yet nothing’s changed.

What went wrong?

We were best friends.
no worries,
no faults,
no wrongs,
Everyone belonged.

Until him.

Your smile darkened like a sea storm,

as dead as our future,
but still as bright as out past..

when we were best friends.

This piece is about a girl who was my best friend for about 2 years. We were closer than I ever thought that I could possibly be with a friend. That all changed within a few weeks because she met a boy who started her on drugs and making bad decisions. She decided that she didn't need to be my friend anymore and left me. The whole situation was so quick and I was so confused I didn't know what to do. So I wrote. It has been over a year and she still doesn't feel she needs to talk to me or acknowledge that we were friends. Out friendship is the base of almost all of my poems. She was my best friend, and now, i'm nothing.
